Proposed Amendments to the ORCP

On September 26, 2020, the Council on Court Procedures voted to publish for public comment proposed amendments to five Oregon Rules of Civil Procedure (Rule 15, Rule 21, Rule 27, Rule 31, and Rule 55). The Council is considering whether or not to promulgate these proposed amendments to the ORCP and is accepting public comment on the proposed amendments.

To receive full consideration by the Council, written comments regarding the proposed amendments to the Oregon Rules of Civil Procedure should be received by the Council no later than the close of business on December 7, 2020. Written comments may be sent by mail or by e-mail to:

The Council meeting at which the Council will receive oral comments from the public relating to the proposed amendments will be held via Webex only at 9:30 a.m. on December 12, 2020. Information on how to join the meeting can be found in the PDF containing the proposed amendments.

The Council will take final action on the proposed amendments at its December 12, 2020, meeting.
