On December 8, 2018, the Council voted to promulgate amendments to nine of the Oregon Rules of Civil Procedure (Rules 7, 15, 16, 22, 38, 43, 44, 55, and 65). These promulgated amendments were sent to the Legislature at the beginning of the legislative session in January of 2019 and will become effective as law on January 1, 2020.
