On September 17, 2022, the Council on Court Procedures voted to publish for public comment proposed amendments to five Oregon Rules of Civil Procedure (Rule 7, Rule 35, Rule 39, Rule 55, Rule 57, Rule 58, and Rule 68). The Council is considering whether or not to promulgate these proposed amendments to the ORCP and is accepting public comment on the proposed amendments.

To receive full consideration by the Council, written comments regarding the proposed amendments to the Oregon Rules of Civil Procedure should be received by the Council no later than the close of business on December 2, 2022. Written comments may be sent by mail or by e-mail to:

The Council meeting at which the Council will consider written comments and receive oral comments from the public relating to the proposed amendments will be held via Zoom only at 9:30 a.m. on December 10, 2022. Information on how to join the meeting can be found in the PDF containing the proposed amendments.

The Council will take final action on the proposed amendments at its December 10, 2022, meeting.
